One Platform For Your
Buildings Information Needs
Why We Do, What We Do
On 14 June 2017 an event happened which had a profound impact on many people’s lives. A fire in West London on that fateful night taking the lives of far too many loved ones.
Dame Judith Hackitts, “Building a Safer Future” report which was released in 2018 was the final motivation Operance co-founders Ian Yeo and Scott pilgrim needed to act. Wanting to positively impact peoples lives and do whatever possible to influence nothing like the Grenfell Tower disaster happening again.
The Operance Mission:
“To manage the worlds building information for safe harmonious places for everyone”
Because we all deserve to feel safe wherever we are.
With over 50 years combined construction experience between them and a passion for digitising the construction and property industry, our founders set up at the Centre for Digital Innovation [C4DI] in Hull, on a mission to “Simplify Building Information”.
What does that actually mean?
For us, it means we want to ensure the huge amounts of data collected during construction is useable. That means, easy to see and consume, search and fine, keep live and up to date and fit for purpose. Operance offers professional services and software which enable our contractor, consultants and building owner customers to:
- 1. Collect – Only relevant data that either adds value or is needed for compliance reasons
- 2. Visualise – Easily consume the information collected. This means different views of the information for different stakeholders
- 3. Update – Simply keep important safety and operation information live and up to date
- 4. Share – Easily share really important information with other systems, removing silo’s of information and lack of transparency
- 5. Comply – With the Building Safety Act, other legislation and your stakeholder obligations.
